The Foundation is excited to announce an opportunity to partner with Marshall Academy, a free public school for grades K-12 in Marshall, Michigan. The 10th-grade class at Marshall Academy will be hosting their 8th Annual Walk to the Fountain on Friday, May 25th. This year, they have decided that all of the money raised from this event will be donated to The William Guy Forbeck Research Foundation.
The 10th grade selected this foundation because one of their classmate’s father was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma occurs when cancer cells crowd out the healthy cells in your bone marrow which eventually may cause fatigue, anemia, bone problems, and or the inability to fight off infections.
The walk to raise cancer awareness and support cancer research will be May 25th at 1:00 pm and is open to the community. The HS students will be walking from the Academy to the fountain and back to campus. The elementary students will be walking around the driveway on campus. Marshall Academy is accepting monetary donations to support cancer research. If you would like to support this wonderful event, donations can be mailed to Marshall Academy 18203 Homer Rd. Marshall, MI 49068. Checks may be made payable to The William Guy Forbeck Foundation or Marshall Academy.
